This butterfly is white with the male having one black spot on each forewing. The female has two spots on each forewing. They both have small black tips on the forewings. The female's being slightly larger than the males. The underside is similar but with greyish yellow hindwings.

Anywhere there are suitable flowers and food plants, like the Large White it can sometimes be seen as a pest in gardens.
